I am taking part in the 2011 Enerflex MS Brissie to the Bay bike ride in memory of my cousin Joel Eastman.
To help others with MS, I aim to raise as much as I can by taking on the 100km course, a distance I haven't ridden in several years. In fact, I probably haven't accumulated more than 100km in total over the last 12 months!
Please help motivate me for this event by donating, in turn raising funds for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is the most common disease of the central nervous system and affects more than 20,000 Australians.
Did you know?
- Today five more Australians will be told they have multiple sclerosis.
- The average age of diagnosis of MS is just 30 years, but often affects people much younger like Joel.
MS Australia – QLD aims to minimize the impact of multiple sclerosis on all individuals affected by the disease, as well as their families, carers and the community by offering a wide range of services, equipment and support. MS Australia – QLD’s goal is to assist everyone affected by MS to live life to their fullest potential and secure the care and support they need, until we ultimately find a cure.
