This year I went in the MS Swimathon to raise money to help find a cure for MS - especially for our friend Gail. Thanks to all of my sponsors & fund-raising I was able to raise a massive $750 and next year I want to raise even more.
I was lucky enough to be the first swimmer in the mega swim “Team Suncorp for Gail” and also did the last 40 minutes as well which was fantastic as I got to swim it with Gail, which my Mummy and Daddy are very proud of me for. I even won the Youth Encouragement award – for my fundraising & enthusiasm.
I hope you enjoy my photo's from last year, I had the best time & this year I know I can swim even longer, as I have been practicing hard and going to swimming boot camps. I cant wait to see Gail & Echo again.
I am taking part in the Gold Coast MS Swimathon 2012 in order to raise much-needed funds for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is the most common disease of the central nervous system and affects more than 20,000 Australians.

- The average age of diagnosis of MS is just 30 years
- MS affects three times as many women as men
MS Australia – QLD aims to minimize the impact of multiple sclerosis on all individuals affect by the disease, as well as their families, carers and the community by offering a wide range of services, equipment and support. MS Australia – QLD’s goal is to assist everyone affected by MS to live life to their fullest potential and secure the care and support they need, until we ultimately find a cure.
