I can't believe how quickly this walk has come up.
I have been testing my endurance with lots of walks over the holidays and feel comfortable that I should be able to make the 5kms.
I have also been amazed by the support that we have received and I am both encouraged an incredibly thankful that I have such a wonderful supportive team of family and friends around me.
Here's hoping the weather is great - it should be a great night!

I had been a bit nervous about sending out an email to my entire address book telling everyone that I had MS. Whilst I had told my family and a few friends, it kind of made it more REAL to be telling everyone. I have received supportive emails from so many people and already had to update my fundraising goal. Whilst I will do the walk every year that I can, I was hoping to able to raise some money this year as the Society has been so supportive of me. As I have had a rough few months since diagnosis, I haven't been able to work as much and therefore not as much money is coming in. The Socieity has arranged physio counselling and lots of other services at no cost which has been a godsend!
Off to go for a walk...........

I am taking part in the 2011 MS Moonlight Walk in order to raise much-needed funds for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is the most common disease of the central nervous system and affects more than 20,000 Australians.
Did you know?
- Today five more Australians will be told they have multiple sclerosis
- The average age of diagnosis of MS is just 30 years
- MS affects three times as many women as men
MS Australia – QLD aims to minimize the impact of multiple sclerosis on all individuals affect by the disease, as well as their families, carers and the community by offering a wide range of services, equipment and support. MS Australia – QLD’s goal is to assist everyone affected by MS to live life to their fullest potential and secure the care and support they need, until we ultimately find a cure.
